The FED Return Policy
At The Foodservice Equipment Depot, our top priority is ensuring your complete satisfaction. Should any issues arise with your order or if you are not entirely happy with your purchase, please inform us, and we will strive to rectify the situation. If you need to initiate a return, kindly contact us to coordinate the process.
Return Terms & Conditions: To be eligible for a full credit or exchange, all returned items must be unused and in their original packaging within 30 days of purchase. Products and components must not exhibit signs of use, abuse, or misuse, such as modification, dirt, cracks, dents, scratches, cuts, or damage; otherwise, they may be subject to a re-stocking fee or returned to you. Returns for Commercial Food Equipment may be subject to the manufacturer’s restocking fee, dependent on their policy, beyond The Foodservice Equipment Depot’s control. We will contact the supplier to confirm the return policy before authorizing a return. Shipping charges are non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error. For efficient processing of returned merchandise, follow these steps:
- Contact our Customer Service Department at info@thefedepot.com to obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number.
- Clearly write the RA number on all packages being returned. Failure to do so may result in non-acceptance of the shipment.
- Include a brief explanation of the reason for the return and a copy of the invoice in the package for proper refund processing. All returns will be credited in the same manner as the original payment.
- No credit will be issued for altered or abused returns (as described above).
- No freight collect or COD returns will be accepted. Send all returns prepaid and consider insuring your shipment for its current value.
Returns, Exchanges & Credits: If you choose to return unused merchandise by mail, you are responsible for the return shipping cost. Follow these steps:
- Obtain an RA# by contacting us.
- Repackage items in their original packaging, including the invoice.
- Return the package using a chosen delivery service, keeping the tracking number for records. Insure the shipment for its current value if recommended.
- Allow 10-14 business days for the return to be processed.

Returns to FED Clearance Warehouse: The Foodservice Equipment Depot accepts returns at The FED Clearance warehouse for regularly stocked items that are unused and in the original packaging within 30 days of purchase.
Received Merchandise in Error or Damaged: If you received an item in error or it’s damaged, contact customer service at 1-403-923-2270 for assistance. Follow the provided guide for pre-authorizing the return at our expense.
Returning an Item: When will I receive the credit? You will receive an email notification when your return is processed, and refunds will be issued to your original method of payment. For major credit cards (Visa, MC, or Amex), the refund may take 2-10 business days to appear on your statement of account.
